This wiki was created by Irma Gross, an elementary library-teacher. The purpose of this wiki is to provide a way for students in different locations to learn about the other schools and states in which they are located. Only teachers that Irma Gross has granted permission to alter the has access to make changes and add information. Students can only access the information in a "read only" format. Students can not change, add to, or alter the wiki pages in any way. Students will search the site to locate specific information.
On this wiki, teachers will find some specific handouts that will assist them in teaching their students about the different locations. These handouts include: an outline map of the United States. This will allow the students to record the different states and state capitals, a chart to record the mileage that each book travels from one place to another, a worksheet where the students can record different information about the location, using common tools like an Atlas and World Almanac for Kids (both of these have the students learning different geography information, and Culture Grams (which is subscription-based), and a chart to compare some of the information about the different schools.
